This pretty girl is a Japanese Bookmark doll (Shiori Ningyo). They are called this because of their shape, however, in Japan they are used as paper dolls. They would make great gifts for teachers, in a book club gift exchange or for your favorite reader with a book. They are made of paper and card stock with felt hair and flowers or bling.
This bookmark doll has a shades of red kimono (if you want to learn more about kimonos check this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimono ). The obi (sash used for kimonos and warriors who specialize in martial arts) is black and red. Her hair ornament is red roses. The blue you see is the fold of the under dress.
She measures 1.5″ x 7″
